Paloma Angelina Lopez

Paloma is a celebrated award-winning author of the bilingual children's picture book, Popo the Xolo.  Paloma is an artist, mother, teacher,  stomp dancer, and Cherokee language learner dedicated to Cherokee language and culture revitalization with her husband, acclaimed Cherokee singer, Agalisiga "Chuj" Mackey. Together, they have two young children immersed in Cherokee language, culture, literacy, and the arts. She has also created curriculum and training for the Cherokee Nation's Durbin Feeling Learning Center. Paloma and Chuj collaborate to direct our work related to arts, culture, and learning from their rancho in the Cherokee Nation Reservation.
